PLM 3D adaptation for the connection option "attached tube"

PLM 3D adaptation for the connection option "attached tube"

Meldung vom March 2020

When drawing a pipe in PLM 3D, there is now a new selection option for connection objects in addition to the "T-piece", namely "attached pipe" with the additional selection: "socket” or “attached".

As always, the new connection option is recorded in the database as a 3D body. The ISOGEN interface for isometry generation has been adapted accordingly. Furthermore, it is now also possible to read out information from the connection objects, such as the KKS name of the pipe to which the tee piece belongs.

PLM 3D - Extension of the 3D quick design with parts list output

PLM 3D - Extension of the 3D quick design with parts list output

Meldung vom: July 2019
To enable a quick design of a 3D PLM model with design parameters, the quantity structure is generated without pipe classes and transferred to material management and ISOGEN.

The PLM 3D - ISOGEN interface was extended for the output of additional parts list information.
The bills of materials issued on the drawings previously only contained the geometric data of the piping. By extending the interface, information on material / materials of the piping can now be transferred from the PLM database (Design Material) even without pipe class. The same was also created for material information of the built-in parts such as fittings, pipe sockets, pipe supports etc.
